If you're having trouble receiving SMS messages on your rented phone number, try the following steps:
The easiest way to identify if your number is working is by sending it a test message. You can use your own phone (at your own cost) or use free test services such as SMSUptime or BulkSMS.
Disable any VPN services you're using. Some platforms can detect VPNs and won't send an SMS regardless of what number you use.
We do not recommend using device emulators as these are easily detected by platforms. Like VPN detection, those platforms won't send an SMS regardless of what number you use.
If you've attempted to create an account on a platform (in particular Google) and you're not receiving SMS then enter a new email address name that you haven't used before.
Google verification issues often happen when google flags your device and it wont let you use any number. quackr offers a service free of charge where we create the account for you. Simply send us the account details you'd like to use. Make sure its an email address name you havent tried before otherwise google wont accept the number.
Certain countries such as Germany recycle numbers more than other countries which we don't have any control over. If you've rented a number and it says it already has an account attached to it (such as Telegram or WhatsApp), we recommend you simply reset the account and then login with it.
Devices can be flagged by platforms and no matter what you attempt, they wont send the SMS to your rented phone number. If this happens to you, we recommend trying a different device to see if the SMS comes through.
